Olivier Oliver
Piano
He studied with Yvan Julien and Laurent Cugny at the CIM school in Paris. He also composed sound illustrations for Laurent Charvillat's play “Damier ou Survitt”.
Back in the region of Charente-Maritime, he met many jazz and salsa musicians and collaborated in the creation of his first Latin jazz group, “Up to date”, followed by the group “Sandunga Latina”.
In Angoulême, he met Alcides Valente, hip hop choreographer and founder of the Cie “Etre-Ange”, for whom he composed various soundtracks.
He took part in the creation of the group “Don Diego”, which takes him to the well-known festival Francofolies de La Rochelle. The group split up, but finds a second life thanks to a meeting with Isabelle Geffroy, who will become the world famous artist Zaz.
Jean-Hugues Billmann
Bass
A self-taught bassist for over thirty years, he began learning to play bass and joined various bands, including Baron des Lyres, les Jules et Julie and Marla Glen, among others.
Then he discovered Latin music and salsa with Mestica, Latine Perspective, Sandunga Latina... and finally, he returned to his roots by working on the double bass and discovering an extraordinarily rich genre of music: jazz.
He joined the swing jazz group 'The Sugar Hearts' in 2018, where he met Georgie Brown. He has also played with Jojo Benotti, Marc Thomas, Charles Bellonzi, Xavier Richardeau and Mourad Benhammou.
Eric Bourciquot
Drums
After studying music at the Institut Supérieur de La Havane and Berklee College Music in Boston, he pursued a teaching career in various establishments in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
At the same time, he has played with a host of musicians, from Patrick Manet and Michel Boudjema to William Lecomte and Franck Dijeau. Above all, he embodied one of Charente Maritime's finest rhythm sections in the company of the late double bassist Hugues Maté, with whom he accompanied numerous soloists and singers such as Anne Carleton.
